An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Tax Manager to join a top-tier practice. The successful candidate will manage and advise on tax matters, delivering expert solutions to a broad range of clients. Our client is a respected player in the accountancy sector, boasting a robust team of over 250 dedicated employees. With a commitment to excellence and a client-centric approach, they have built a strong reputation in the Crawley area and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising and corresponding with HMRC in respect of clearance applications, enquiries, etc.
  • Drafting reports and letters of advice for a number of tax advisory issues.
  • Preparing calculations to support advice.
  • Liaising with clients and attending meetings with other team members.
  • Training and reviewing the work of more junior members of staff.
  • Providing support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group.
  • Advice and implementation of corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs such as EIS/SEIS, staff incentive schemes.
  • Advising owner-managed businesses regarding remuneration planning, succession planning.
  • Preparation of research & development claims, VAT returns, SDLT returns.
  • Advising individuals regarding IHT planning and CGT mitigation.
  • Reviewing corporate tax computations and returns.

Profile

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional tax or accounting certification.
  • Proficiency in tax advisory and management.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional client service skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement tax strategies.
