A key focus will be on driving continuous improvement, improving processes and ensuring the finance function operates with a high level of accuracy, efficiency and control.

Description

  • Lead the month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate, timely and audit-ready reporting.
  • Own balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and the resolution of financial reporting issues.
  • Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and manage the external audit process through to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal controls, SOX requirements and wider governance frameworks.
  • Identify financial and operational risks, implementing appropriate controls and improvements where required.
  • Prepare and oversee external and regulatory reporting, including statutory filings.
  • Work closely with shared services, tax, payroll and wider finance teams to ensure a smooth and effective reporting process.
  • Drive continuous improvement across accounting, reporting and finance processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and controls.
  • Undertake credit risk analysis and due diligence to support working capital and business decisions.
  • Act as a senior Finance Business Partner, providing financial insight, challenge and support to key stakeholders.
  • Support and develop the Assistant Financial Accountant, providing mentoring, guidance and technical expertise.
  • Represent Financial Accounting on cross-functional projects, providing subject matter expertise on complex accounting matters.
  • Provide leadership and cover for the wider Financial Accounting function when required.

Profile

  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including relevant standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Job Offer
