We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable professional to join a Not For Profit organisation. This temporary role involves managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping in the Accounting & Finance department.
This opportunity is with a well-established, medium-sized Not For Profit organisation known for its commitment to making a positive impact and operating within a supportive and professional environment.
Responsibilities:- Ordering petty cash and reconciling on a weekly basis.
- Making petty cash payments and managing the distribution and collection of trip and other cash floats, including recording the entries on the accounting system.
- Processing non-fee sales ledger transactions and management of the debtor process for them.
- Collection of receipts for corporate cards and posting journals on a monthly basis.
- Processing transactions for the School's Caxton cards and foreign currency and recording transactions thereon.
- Ensuring that financial planning sheets have been received and reviewed for all upcoming trips and events.
- Preparing reconciliation sheets for day trips, events and other recharged items including those that are billed (buses and taxis).
- Maintaining records of the charity fundraising activities for the school and making payments to them.
- Assisting with year-end audit.
- Being personally committed to the process of continuous improvement at the School taking part in development and training activities.
- Being committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Undertaking any other duties reasonably requested to support the finance and accountancy team in their day-to-day activities.
The successful Accounts Receivable applicant will have experience in the above and be on short notice.
