Michael Page are working with a well-established business going through a period of growth. As Cost Accountant you will report directly into the Finance Director. As the group continues to expand there will be genuine opportunities for long term progression and professional development.
Description
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly product cost analysis for use in determining cost of sales and inventoriable cost.
- Driving analytics and processes to evaluate product cost.
- Identifying cost reductions, and tracking to realisation seasonally, annually, and for strategic plans.
- Conducting cost analysis to improve margin performance and deliver measurable results.
- Complete analysis on operations specific aspects of the finance operating cycle (Cost of Sales, Other Cost of Sales, and Inventory) and other manufacturing topics.
- Lead and contribute to ad hoc projects to drive sourcing optimisation with measurable outcomes.
- Assists in developing the company's annual plans.
- Work closely with regional finance teams to design and implement best practices to streamline processes and provide data-driven insights to business leaders.
- Analyse and identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimisation across the business.
- Other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Profile
The Candidate Will Have:
- Knowledge of accounting practices related to inventory costing, intercompany and foreign currencies.
- CIMA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills with high attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work towards deadlines.
- Commitment to continuously drive process improvements.
