You will be responsible for managing the tax compliance requirements of a portfolio of existing clients, ranging from small businesses to members of larger groups. This will include dealing with the calculation of provisions for inclusion in statutory accounts, addressing other corporate tax issues arising from the portfolio and dealing with the tax affairs of the business owners. You will mainly report to a manager and assist the partner with tax advisory projects and transactional work. Experience of OMB’s would be an advantage. You should be qualified or part qualified ACA/CTA with practical tax experience. You will also be able to work as part of a team whilst using your own initiative.

Job Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA/CA qualification essential.
  • Significant Corporate Tax and accounting experience (ideally UKGAAP).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • A passion for client service.

Your Direct Client Responsibilities
  • Acting as the first point of contact for our clients on a day-to-day basis.
  • Demonstrating excellent writing, research and presentation skills.
  • Anticipating client needs, and communicating effectively with clients in both written and verbal exchanges.
  • Assisting in the planning, execution and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment for manager or partner review.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of the different types of risk and following policies for managing risk in relevant business and applicable legal and regulatory rules.
  • Producing work for the Manager and/or Partner review, clearly highlighting issues and providing potential solutions to issues identified.
  • Demonstrating business development skills and identifying additional sales opportunities.
  • Identifying areas requiring improvement in the client’s business processes and preparing and delivering Tax Finding Reports to be provided to the client.
