We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join a reputable manufacturing as the number one in finance, reporting directly to the Group MD. This role requires a strong background in accounting and finance to lead financial operations effectively and drive strategic growth.

Strategic & Financial Planning

  • Develop and implement the business plan, including strategic objectives, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Take full ownership of budgets and monthly forecasts, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and effective management of financial performance.
  • Identify, assess, and manage key assumptions, risks, and opportunities affecting business and project performance.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee all month-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate, and insightful management reporting.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage cash flow, ensuring liquidity and financial stability of the business.
  • Lead forecasting and budgeting processes through effective collaboration with the finance team.

Governance, Audit & Compliance

  • Manage the relationship and process with external auditors, ensuring timely completion of statutory audits.
  • Oversee tax, audit, risk and compliance activities.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and efficient financial processes across the organisation.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, develop, and manage the finance team to ensure high performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with banks, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Provide financial insights and support to senior leadership and operational teams to drive informed strategic decision-making.

Profile

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven expertise in financial management within the engineering or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders.

Job Offer
