Resource Management (RM) is a critical function at Deloitte, ensuring the right people with the right skills are in the right places at the right time. As a member of the RM team, you will support business‑unit leaders and practitioners, driving operational excellence and supporting the business talent strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that Deloitte clients receive optimal teams, combining industry experience with technical knowledge.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing balanced and pragmatic advice on manpower planning and resource management.
- Own key RM processes: Budget Planning, Talent Management, New Joiner & Leaver Processes, MI & Reporting, Learning & Professional Education, Team & Personal Development.
- Provide accurate management information, analysis, and advice on staff availability, utilisation, revenue and forecasting accuracy.
- Liaise, influence and challenge stakeholders to resolve issues and build relationships.
- Deliver optimal utilisation and revenues for the business unit, considering commercial aspects of deployment decisions.
- Prepare for and lead Resource Management meetings to facilitate rapid staffing decisions.
- Coach and mentor junior scheduling team members.
- Contribute as an integral member of the UK‑wide RM team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, building trusted relationships.
- Strong experience interpreting and analysing Management Information (MI).
- Advanced Excel skills and experience developing MI.
- Proven ability to deliver creative resourcing solutions and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Flexible and agile in staffing models, able to respond to new/unplanned client requests.
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to multitask under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
- Track record of empathetic, impactful, and discreet stakeholder engagement.
Working Environment
This role is based in the Birmingham office, with travel to the West Midlands, Cambridge, Southwest and South Central office bases. The minimum working pattern is four days per week, and hybrid working arrangements are available.
