We are looking for a qualified, experienced and highly motivated Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Audit team. In this role you will ensure the delivery of high‐quality client services across a range of statutory accounting frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of more complex statutory accounts and review of disclosures under a range of accounting frameworks, including FRS102 and IFRS.
  • Assist with the review of statutory accounts for charities, partnerships and limited companies.
  • Prepare integrated cash flow and consolidation working schedules.
  • Build client relationships and assist management with the maintenance of client portfolios.
  • Ensure completion of assigned areas of work within the time budget and deadlines, to the standard set and with a minimum of supervision by the manager.
  • Seek to continuously improve systems and procedures.
  • Provide assistance, coaching and mentoring to junior staff as and when required.
  • Prioritise your own work and deadlines.
  • Stay up to date with technical knowledge and changes in the accountancy profession, driving best practice in the team and ensuring the team continues to develop.
  • Monitor and adhere to deadlines, ensuring client work is completed in line with client expectations.
  • Liaise with other departments in the firm and have awareness of services on offer.

Qualifications

  • ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in an accountancy practice firm.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting packages and statutory accounts preparation software (ideally CaseWare experience).
  • Good knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS102 with preferably some knowledge of IFRS.
  • Strong time‐management and delegative skills.
