Due to continued growth in our Midlands office, we are recruiting a qualified Senior Associate, Audit to join our audit/assurance team. You will be responsible for the delivery of client-based assignments, ensuring the team's audit work and reporting is of high quality. The role involves leading and coaching team members as well as managing client relationships, and will include opportunities to work on advisory engagements for both audit and non-audit clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach audit team members; manage client relationships and ensure high-quality audit work and reporting.
- Deliver client-based assignments on time and within budget; contribute to wider business and people development.
- Assist with advisory engagements on both audit and non-audit clients where appropriate.
- Work with the Midlands and, at times, other UK offices as required.
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CA qualification (essential).
- Significant auditing and accounting experience (ideally UK GAAP).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- A passion for client service; energy and enthusiasm with a results focus.
- A keenness to develop your own professional skills and career goals.
Your People Responsibilities

Your Direct Client Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for clients on a day-to-day basis.
- Demonstrate excellent writing, research and presentation skills (proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
- Anticipate client needs; communicate effectively in written and verbal exchanges.
- Act with the Firm's best interests in mind and with integrity in all dealings.
- Assist in planning, execution and finalisation of audit work for manager/partner review; provide solutions and input for areas of concern.
- Understand and apply the Firm's risk management approach and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage risk (reputational, operational and financial) in client interactions.
- Show a sense of urgency and ensure work quality and timely delivery.
- Prepare work for manager/partner review, highlight issues and propose solutions.
- Demonstrate business development skills and identify opportunities.
- Apply a solution-based approach to problem solving on client assignments.
- Identify process improvements for the client and prepare Audit Findings Reports for delivery to the client.
- Monitor progress against budget and understand variances with the Manager.
Note: Although the majority of time is spent servicing clients in the Midlands, there is a requirement to support other UK offices when needed.
