Description
In this role, as an Assistant Accountant you\’ll be a key part of the finance team, making sure everything runs smoothly and accurately. Your work will help shape important business decisions and keep things on track.
- Pull together weekly and monthly management accounts with clear KPIs
- Spot trends and explain differences with variance analysis
- Keep bank and cash reconciliations accurate and up to date
- Handle payroll analysis and journals
- Manage accruals and prepayments
- Check balance sheets and dig into any variances
- Support with budgets, forecasts, and year‑end audits
- Help strengthen financial controls through internal audit
Profile
- Qualified by experience or working towards ACCA, CIMA, or AAT
- At least 3 years\’ experience in a similar role with strong management accounts knowledge
- Excellent IT skills, especially MS Excel
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business
- High attention to detail and accuracy
