About the role
As UK Sales Director, you will be based in our office in London, reporting into our UK/IE Managing Director. We are looking for an experienced Sales Director to join our UK commercial team and oversee our team of sellers representing all Omnicom agencies, Dentsu, Bicycle and MNC. You will be responsible for managing and supporting a team of four sellers - ranging from Group Sales Executive to Senior Key Account Director level and contributing towards a sales team for your individual team as well as helping the UK & Global team reach the wider target. Please note this will be a fixed term contract for 12 months.

What you ́ll do

  • Team Leadership & Development
    • People First: Support, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team, delivering tailored development plans and maintaining an environment where sellers thrive.
    • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day group operations, including holiday coverage, expense management, and leading internal sales meetings.
    • Lead by Example: Serve as a mentor, coach, and ultimate knowledge base for your team through every stage of the sales cycle.
  • Strategic Patch & Agency Ownership
    • Commercial Strategy: Design and execute a bespoke commercial strategy for your patch, utilizing data (Qlik, Salesforce) to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
    • Key Accounts & Trading: Partner with the Managing Director to negotiate annual trading deals, lead QBRs, and secure top-tier commercial opportunities.
    • Senior Representation: Act as the primary escalation point and commercial leader for senior agency and client contacts.
  • Market Ambassador & Thought Leadership
    • Brand Advocacy: Position Acast as the world's leading podcast marketplace through thought leadership, industry events, and driving the UK commercial marketing strategy.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal Sales Directors and global teams (AdTech, Creator Network, Product, Creative) to seamlessly roll out new formats, tech, and show signings.
    • Creative Problem Solving: Tackle unforeseen commercial challenges with agility, collaboration, and decisive action.

Who you are
Preferably 10+ years of experience in digital media sales or a media agency. Proven team management experience. Experience of working closely with network agencies, with established relationships with senior agency contacts. In depth knowledge of the podcast industry is a must. Partnerships Experience and / or Commercial Trading experience is preferred, in either media agency or media sales.
