Job Description
Stone Mason - Church Department LOCATION: Danbury, Essex JOB TYPE: Full, permanent SALARY: Dependent on experience The Stone Mason Role Established over 145 years ago, our client is a privately owned Essex based heritage building contractor with an excellent reputation for conservation expertise and quality.
As a stone mason you will be required to cut and shape stonework with a range of hand and power tools, working from templates and moulds, to give it a textured or polished finish (dressing), in accordance with design plans.
The candidate is to have a proven track record qualification/experience in stone masonry.
The successful candidate should know/be able to: Job Description Efficiently and effectively be able to cut out and lay, replace and indent natural stone dressings.
Have a good knowledge and experience working with lime mortars, repointing, rebuilding masonry walls.
Follow and adhere to Health and Safety policy at all times.
Have an eye for detail to ensure quality control and high standards are met.
The Church Works Department The company's Church Works Department works on a wide variety of projects involving the restoration and repair of historical buildings, listed properties, castle ruins, cathedrals and monuments.
They work with both commercial and residential clients.
