Established over 145 years ago, our client is a privately owned Essex based heritage building contractor with an excellent reputation for conservation expertise and quality. They work across Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Kent and Hertfordshire as well as into east, north and central London.

They are looking to recruit 2 x multi traders to join their busy Special Works Department. This is an exciting and varied role which involves working on some of the finest heritage, church, residential and historical buildings in the area.

The successful applicant will have an excellent track record being skilled in all trades including carpentry, plastering and decorating finishes. An eye for detail, a keen interest in building preservation and a pride in one’s work is essential.

Requirements for the Multi Trader position:
  • Experience and skilled in various trades tasks.
  • Basic health & safety knowledge.
  • Experience of working on historical and listed buildings would be an advantage.
  • Driving licence.
  • To be able to travel to project sites.
  • Positive attitude, good communicator and team player.

The company’s Special Works Department works on a wide variety of projects involving the restoration and repair of historical buildings, listed properties, public houses and traditional homes. They work with both commercial and residential clients.
