Pool Hayes Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Design & Technology to supplement and enhance a strong, established and supportive Faculty. The department is part of a well‑led, dynamic team whose colleagues enjoy supporting the Academy and its culture of outstanding success among students. Applications from ECTs are welcomed.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious professional with the ability to teach across key stages, someone who can bring out the best in every child and make all aspects of the Design & Technology curriculum engaging. The role involves leading curriculum development, supporting colleagues and contributing to the overall success of the academy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Design & Technology curriculum across key stages
- Provide high‑quality teaching that meets the needs of all learners
- Promote a culture of enquiry, critical thinking and creativity
- Support and mentor other staff in their professional development
- Work collaboratively within the Academy’s teaching and learning team
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified teacher with subject knowledge in Design & Technology
- Experience teaching across Key Stages 3–5 is desirable
- ECT candidates are welcomed
