About This Role
Sun Academy is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant.
- Contract Details
- Contract Type: Fixed Term until July 2027
- Hours: 31.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)
- Scale: NJC 4-6
- Actual Salary: £18,411 - £19,030 (FTE Salary: £25,184 - £25,988)
- Closes: Monday 13 July 2026 at 9am
- Start Date: 01 September 2026
- Interviews: Tuesday 14 July 2026
Responsibilities
- Support children on an individual basis, in small groups and whole class work.
- Assist with daily school routines and classroom activities.
- Help maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Positive and committed individual with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Pro‑active approach and ability to work independently.
- Experience of working with young people/children and understanding child development.
- Ability to relate well to visitors, staff and students.
- Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS criminal record check.
