Pastoral Support Officer
We are seeking a motivated and organised Pastoral Support Officer to work as part of a team and help students prepare for their future working lives.
- NJC Scale Point: 9 – 17
- Actual salary: £23,441 to £26,682 per annum
- 37 hours per week, term time only
- Commencing: 01 September 2026
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the wider pastoral team and other colleagues to improve attainment and progress for all students.
- Lead on behaviour, attendance and welfare issues for identified year groups.
- Act as one of the first points of contact for parents and external agencies.
Qualifications
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- At least three years’ experience working with young people in a secondary school.
- Academic standard of GCSE grade C/4 in English and Maths.
- Patient, caring and sympathetic personality.
