About the Role

We are recruiting at Westbourne Academy to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Design & Technology or Food who can deliver high‑quality teaching to students in KS3 and KS4.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons in Design & Technology and Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Support and lead classroom and extra‑curricular programmes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and work within the teaching and learning team and senior leadership.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the department’s forward‑thinking approach.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Appropriate teaching qualification for Design & Technology or Food Technology.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 subjects.
  • ECTs are welcomed; foundational experience is acceptable.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, welfare and safeguarding of children.
