We are recruiting at Westbourne Academy — SENDCO.

The Role
You will join a dynamic and exciting team, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students. The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and young people, up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance. The SENDCO will ensure the academy meets its statutory commitments in relation to SEND, secure and manage SEND funding, and assess and plan the academy SEND provision to meet the needs of all students. This will include training and development of all staff. As a valued leader, you will use your sphere of influence to lead by example and consistently embody our high expectations at Westbourne Academy.

The appointed candidate will work collaboratively with other senior leaders and the Deputy SENDCo to ensure all aspects of SEND provision are planned, delivered and reviewed, securing a strong and effective provision.
