Assistant Head of Year NJC Point 15 – 25

Salary: £25,823 - £31,414 per annum (actual)

Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)

Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to enable every student to fulfil their potential as individual learners, effective citizens, and well‑rounded individuals. Lead a team of tutors and influence all staff, parents/carers, and stakeholders in raising aspiration and improving outcomes for all.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Good basic education to GCSE level (including English and Maths).
  • Completed relevant courses such as coaching, mentoring, and study support.
  • Previous experience working with young people and in a similar environment.
  • Motivated, independent, and hardworking with the ability to work on own initiative.
