Governance Support Officer

NJC Point 14 – 18 (£28,624 FTE – £30,559 FTE)

Full time, All Year Round, 37 Hours per week

Hybrid – Homebased with requirement to travel to Head Office/Schools

This is an exciting opportunity for two Governance Support Officers to join the Academy Transformation Trust (ATT) Central Governance team. You will work closely with key individuals to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and flexible support for the Trust’s governance activities.

ATT Central, based at our head office in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, provides leadership, strategic direction, and support to ATT Academies. The Central team includes experts from various professional backgrounds, working together to ensure educational and operational excellence and to foster a strong ATT community.

Who we’re looking for

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  1. Supporting the administration of Local Governing Boards (LGBs) and statutory responsibilities of a large Multi-academy Trust, ensuring these functions are undertaken in a compliant, professional, and effective manner.

  2. Providing administrative support to the Governance Team to ensure its provision is professional and effective.

Working closely with Principals, Chairs, and other ATT Central staff, you will primarily support school Local Governing Boards by providing efficient governance support and advice, meeting statutory and regulatory compliance requirements. This will enable Governors to make effective decisions and provide key scrutiny to their schools.
