Pool Hayes Academy seeks a committed and experienced Deputy SENDCO to support the SENDCO in implementing the academy’s SEND strategy and policy, lead staff in supporting students with additional needs, oversee internal interventions, and deputise when appropriate. The role also includes a teaching responsibility as a class teacher in the SRP provision, initially with 8 students, increasing to 16 in year 2.

Responsibilities

  • Support the SENDCO in developing and implementing the SEND strategy and policy.
  • Lead staff in supporting students with additional needs.
  • Oversee internal interventions for students with additional needs.
  • Deputise for the SENDCO when required.
  • Deliver classroom teaching as the SRP provision class teacher.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional educator with evidence of CPD training courses.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, vision, tenacity, optimism, and proven ability to inspire students.
