Ravens Academy is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Catering Supervisor to lead the day‑to‑day operation of our school kitchen. This is a temporary maternity cover position and an excellent opportunity for someone with catering experience who enjoys working in a school environment. The successful candidate will oversee the catering service, supervise two catering assistants and ensure that high‑quality, nutritious meals are prepared and served to our pupils each day. The role is hands‑on and involves food preparation, menu planning, ordering supplies and maintaining food hygiene and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising the day‑to‑day running of the school kitchen
- Preparing and serving healthy, balanced meals in line with School Food Standards
- Managing food orders, stock control and kitchen budgets
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, allergen and health & safety regulations
- Leading and supporting two catering assistants
- Promoting healthy eating and encouraging pupils to enjoy school meals
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience working in a catering environment
- Holds a Level 3 Food Safety qualification (or equivalent)
- Has strong organisational and supervisory skills
- Is enthusiastic about providing high‑quality food for children
- Works well as part of a team in a busy school environment
