Overview of the Attendance Officer role at The Dukeries Academy (TDA) within Academy Transformation Trust (ATT). Fixed term contract - Maternity Cover. NJC pay scale: pt 18 – 23 (£27,125 - £29,748 per annum, actual salary paid). Working hours: 37 hours per week, term time only. Required: April 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage attendance initiatives including the management of the Academy electronic attendance system to achieve continuous improvement in attendance targets.
  • Support the academy in improving attendance for students and implement strategies to raise attendance levels.
  • Work within the attendance management framework to contribute to the academy target outcomes.

Qualifications

  • At least three years’ experience of working with young people in a secondary school.
  • Good academic standard of general education to A Level or NVQ Level 3.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.
