Assistant Head of Year

39 weeks per year, 37 hours per week (term time only).

Commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: £25,823 – £28,506 (actual per annum); £30,023 – £33,142 (FTE per annum).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of tutors and influence all staff, parents/carers, and stakeholders in raising aspiration and improving outcomes for all students.
• Support the school to achieve the best possible outcomes for all students as a non‑teaching leader.
• Develop and implement strategies that support student development, individual learning, citizenship, and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with other senior leadership and staff to set and achieve targets and goals.

Qualifications

• Good basic level of education to GCSE level (including English and Maths).
• Sufficient ICT skills and experience with coaching, mentoring, and study support programmes.
• Previous experience working with young people.
• Proactive interest in education and a desire to support school improvement.
