Academy Chef Supervisor (Primary) – Maternity Cover

30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)

Required: As soon as possible

Ravens Academy is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Catering Supervisor to lead the day‑to‑day operation of our school kitchen. The role involves food preparation, menu planning, ordering supplies, and ensuring food hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day‑to‑day running of the school kitchen
  • Prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals in line with School Food Standards
  • Manage food orders, stock control and kitchen budgets
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, allergen and health & safety regulations
  • Lead and support two catering assistants
  • Promote healthy eating and encourage pupils to enjoy school meals

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working in a catering environment
  • Level 3 Food Safety qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong organisational and supervisory skills
  • Enthusiastic about providing high‑quality food for children
  • Ability to work well as part of a team in a busy school environment
