We’re hiring for a Screen and Visual Computing Technologist at the Academy of Live Technology Production Park, UK. Apply by 13th February 2026.

Reporting to: R&D Project Manager
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full Time (40 hours). Mon - Fri 10am - 4pm, with flexible working outside of these times.
Salary: £25,500 - 27,000
The Role: Reporting to the R&D Project Manager, you will work across research, production, training, and campus technology development, contributing to projects that combine visual computing, real-time rendering, AI-driven workflows, and screen technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and prototype visual computing and screen-based systems, including real-time graphics and immersive technologies
- Build, test, and evaluate software and hardware used in visualisation and production workflows
- Support experimentation, user testing, and technical documentation
- Translate creative and research requirements into working technical solutions
- Work alongside senior technologists on R&D, studio, and live production projects
- Support installation, operation, and maintenance of technical systems across campus
- Assist with delivery of technical training and short courses
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Experience or strong interest in Screen & LED video systems
- Experience or strong interest in Unreal Engine, real-time graphics, and virtual production
- Experience or strong interest in AI concepts, including neural rendering and data-driven workflows
- Experience or strong interest in 3D reconstruction, multi-view image/video datasets
- Experience or strong interest in programming languages such as C++ and Python
- Interest in research-led development within creative and production environments
- Ability to work collaboratively within technical and creative teams
Working Hours: 40 hours per week. Core hours: Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm (flexible working outside these times). Occasional evening and weekend work required.
