As a Trader IV, Real Time Power, you will support short‑term and intermediate power trading by applying advanced commercial judgment, market analysis, and tactical execution. You will help optimize value across markets while maintaining compliance, enhancing customer relationships, and contributing to trading strategy development.
What You'll Do
- Purchase, sell, and exchange physical and financial power within defined limits while executing short‑term and intermediate trading strategies.
- Optimize electricity demand and generation assets and monitor transmission utilization.
- Schedule and manage physical and financial power positions using risk and trade management systems.
- Analyze market fundamentals, pricing trends, and location‑based opportunities to inform trading decisions.
- Negotiate and manage transactions with producers, traders, and customers while documenting market activity for internal communication.
- Participate in Virtual/FTR markets and contribute to the expansion of product types and regional activity.

Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $198,000 - $242,000. At Phillips 66, we are committed to pay transparency and competitive, equitable compensation. Each role is assigned a salary grade with a defined pay range, benchmarked against industry peers. Where a candidate offer falls within the posted range depends on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the roles requirements. Offers are made to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
