As an Inspector, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the reliability and safety of refinery operations. In this position, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining critical equipment, working alongside skilled professionals in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and technical expertise are valued. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of inspection methods and industry standards while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What Youll Do
- Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of fixed equipment and piping to ensure operational and safety standards are met.
- Analyze inspection data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to operations, maintenance, and turnaround teams.
- Direct non-destructive examination (NDE) crews, review engineering and inspection documentation, and specify remedial work as needed.
- Support turnaround activities, approve repairs, and maintain detailed records and reports, presenting findings to relevant teams.
- Interpret fabrication drawings, piping isometrics, and P&IDs, applying knowledge of damage mechanisms, metallurgy, and welding inspection.
- Collaborate across departments to uphold safety and compliance, provide specialist advice, and optimize inspection processes through advanced data analysis and reporting.
- Continuously build your capabilities through ongoing training and professional development, contributing to a culture of integrity, clear communication, and continuous improvement.

- Operate company vehicle on site premises and/or public roads up to 10%
- Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, and perform occasional duties.
- Transport articles up to 50 pounds
- Climb ladders and stairs up to 200 feet
- Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines, around chemicals and hydrocarbons under high pressure and heat, and in harsh weather conditions
- Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment
- Maintain face daily for proper respirator/face mask seal.
What Makes You Stand Out
- 10 or more years of direct Inspector experience in the oil and gas, chemical, or petrochemical industry
- Certification(s) in: API 510, API 570
- Associates degree or Trade Certification
- Experience leading or directing required inspections for shutdowns, turnarounds and/or unit assignments in a Refinery setting.
- Experience using common inspection software applications (e.g., PCMS, UltraPipe, EMPRV, API-RBI and SAP)
- Knowledgeable in standard non-destructive examination (NDE) methods
- Knowledgeable in visual welding inspection
- Proficiency with MS Outlook Suite (Outlook Email, Word, PowerPoint and Excel programs)
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $124,200 - $151,800.
