Role Description

Academy Music Group (AMG) is the UK’s leading owner and operator of nationwide live music venues, including London’s iconic O2 Academy Brixton and O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and other outstanding sites in regional locations across the UK. This is a fixed term in-house RICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor role requiring UK travel.

Who You Are

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience:

  • RICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor with solid post qualification experience
  • Experience of preparing precontract budgets
  • Pre- and post-contract experience required
  • Experience of tender preparation, validation, analysis and reporting
  • Contract administration experience required
  • On site project management and coordination required

What The Role Includes

  • Tender documentation preparation
  • Overseeing tenders and cost analysis
  • Pricing/forecasting the cost of the different components needed for a project
  • Preparing Standard Form building contracts and overseeing implementation and contract administration
  • Tracking changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections in line with these
  • Sourcing contractors and/or subcontractors to work on the construction stage of the project
  • Measuring and valuing on site
  • Dealing with financial and legal problems
  • Issuing certificate for payment and managing the payment process
  • Liaising with in-house team and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers
