The assistant box office manager is a key member of the team, tasked with providing seamless and exceptional customer and client services and acting as a central link between our venue and our audiences. You will contribute to the effective running of our core business, be passionate about the entertainment industry and provide ticketing services across a wide variety of live events.

About You

  • Experience in a box office environment within the live entertainment industry
  • Knowledge of using digital ticketing platforms
  • Proven track record in customer service
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
  • Good communication and diplomatic skills
  • Reliable team player
  • Client and customer service experience
  • Ticketing experience
  • Enthusiasm for the live events industry
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours (weekends, evenings, public holidays)
  • Willingness to build positive working relationships
  • Proactive organiser with clear attention to detail
  • Previous experience supervising and managing teams

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support an efficient and smooth box office service
  • Maintain daily liaison with Ticketmaster, ticket agencies and promoter ticketing departments
  • Build shows on our ticketing platforms
  • Provide high quality customer service
  • Maintain first-rate relationships with clients, partners and audiences
  • Ensure accurate and timely sales of all ticketed events
  • Monitor ticket allocations to maximise sales through Ticketmaster
  • Ensure all paperwork and reporting is completed and professionally retained
  • Manage and train casual box office employees as required
  • Proactively administer all accessible ticketing requirements and communications
  • Perform financial reporting and administration
  • Maintain Ticketmaster and venue equipment
  • Support the Company’s charitable and guest ticketing services
  • Troubleshoot and report technical issues
  • Work collaboratively with the venue team, partners and Company head office
  • Publicly represent the venue and Company in a professional manner
  • Perform any additional tasks as reasonably required to support management and the organisation
