We are seeking qualified secondary teachers or experienced tutors to provide one-to-one tuition in Maths, English or Science for students in and around Wokingham who are currently out of mainstream education. This role suits teachers looking for a part-time, flexible alternative to mainstream secondary teaching, while continuing to be paid at classroom teacher-equivalent rates. Work is delivered on an individual basis, supporting students with SEMH and re-engagement needs.

Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities:
  • Part-time, flexible one-to-one tuition for KS3/KS4 students
  • Subjects: Maths, English or Science
  • Students may present with SEMH needs, anxiety, or school refusal
  • Off-site tuition delivered locally
  • Supported by and reporting to our SENDCo
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status preferred
  • Ability to teach at least one of the listed subjects
  • Enhanced DBS (Update Service desirable)
  • Ability to travel locally
  • SEMH or alternative provision experience is advantageous
Pay: Equivalent to classroom teacher pay rates, dependent on experience.
