Are you a Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant in Flitwick looking to gain invaluable experience supporting children with additional needs?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming primary school in Flitwick as a Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, where you'll make a genuine difference to the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech and language needs. Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language needs, and additional learning needs.
- Deliver tailored one-to-one and small group interventions.
- Assist teachers in preparing engaging lessons and learning resources.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Encourage pupils' emotional, social, and academic development.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children, staff, and families.
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and resilience.
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in Psychology or a related subject.
- Previous experience working with children or within an SEN setting (preferred but not essential).
- Knowledge or experience supporting children with ASD and speech and language needs (desirable).
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- Reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn.
