Job Type: Flexible (Daily Supply, Short-Term, Long-Term, Full-Time, Part-Time)
Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience (Β£95 - Β£105 per day, depending on qualifications and background)

We are currently seeking supportive a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a range of schools in Runcorn and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilites

Behaviour Management: Implement effective, positive behaviour management strategies within the classroom and small groups.

De-escalation: Apply proven de-escalation techniques calmly and professionally to support students experiencing emotional distress or crisis.

Teacher & Pastoral Support: Assist teachers with lesson delivery, resource preparation, and work alongside pastoral teams to monitor student wellbeing.

Relationship Building: Establish strong, trusting, and positive relationships with vulnerable pupils, acting as a reliable mentor and advocate.

Progress Tracking: Help record and monitor student engagement and emotional progress.
SEMH Teaching Assistant
- Experienced in working with children with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour.
- A calm, resilient and patient personality.
- Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
- A valid, enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one through us)
