About the Specialist SEN Teacher Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Specialist SEN Teacher to join a highly respected special school in Ware, supporting children and young people with severe and complex learning difficulties in the education and training sector. Key Responsibilities - Specialist SEN Teacher
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons in line with individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet complex learning, communication, and sensory needs
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider multidisciplinary teams
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Use a range of communication strategies including PECS, Makaton, and visual supports
- Track and assess pupil progress in line with school policies
- Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment opportunities
About You - Ware
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working within SEN settings (PMLD, SLD, ASD preferred)
