A welcoming Primary School in Hatfield is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEN Teacher to join their team within a newly established SEN Hub. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well‑resourced and supportive environment, teaching a small class of five pupils, primarily with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), alongside a small number of pupils with additional needs.
The Role
- Teaching a small SEN class of 5 pupils
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
- Working closely with two additional specialist support staff
- Creating a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment
- Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience working with SEN, particularly ASD (desirable but not essential)
- Be patient, nurturing and committed to inclusive education
- Work effectively as part of a supportive team
- Be able to support and uphold the school's values and ethos
