Academics is delighted to be working in partnership with a highly supportive and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant / Aspiring Primary Teacher for a September 2026 start. This opportunity is ideal for a graduate from any academic background who is looking to gain school-based experience before embarking on a PGCE, School Direct, or another teacher training route. The school has an excellent reputation for supporting individuals who are passionate about education and committed to making a positive difference to children's learning and development.
Location: Wandsworth, East London
Pay: £95-£100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: September 2026 - July 2027 (term time only)

The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers across KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils with both their academic progress and social development. You will gain practical experience delivering small group interventions, supporting classroom learning, and working with children with additional learning needs, including SEND.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree in any subject

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
- Experience working with children (desirable but not essential) through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering, childcare, or school placements
