Responsibilities
- Support the students with their mental health, helping them to process and understand their emotions.
- You may provide support in small groups or 1 to 1.
- Work alongside the class teacher to create a safe and engaging learning environment where students can flourish and meet all their goals.
- Help to deescalate any high emotions and help students to regulate.
- Help the class teacher prepare lesson materials and keep the classroom tidy.
- Support the class teacher with general class duties and assist in preparing lesson materials.
- Support students with their general workload and intervention plans designed to support mental health needs.
- Provide 1:1 support and assist during lessons.
Qualifications and attributes
- Will be confident.
- Will have a compassionate and positive personality.
- Will be proactive and take initiative.
- Will have good problem-solving skills.
- Will be able to deescalate heightened emotions.
- Will have an enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one.
- Will have an understanding of the importance.
