A specialist Alternative Provision school in Thatcham is seeking a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to join their team full-time, starting immediately and continuing until July 2026. In this role, you will support students aged 11-18 with behavioural and mental health needs, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support within the classroom and during pastoral activities
  • Assist teachers in managing challenging behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Support the development of social and emotional skills in pupils
  • Act as a positive role model, offering guidance and encouragement
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and psychologists to ensure effective support strategiesThis is an excellent opportunity for graduates to gain hands‑on experience working with young people who face behavioural and mental health challenges. It is ideal for those considering careers in education, psychology, youth work, or related fields.
