Academics are looking for a Pastoral support assistant to support in a school in the Telford area. We are looking for someone who is able to:
- Promote pupils' personal development, confidence, resilience, and independence.
- Provide pastoral support to remove barriers to learning.
- Support improvements in attendance, engagement, and behaviour.
- Develop positive relationships that enable pupils to feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
The role is to start immediately, on a 1 term contract, however this could be extended depending on the school's needs.
What we’re looking for:
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for us to arrange one).
- Classroom or youth-work experience is helpful; calm communication and a willingness to learn are essential.
- Sound safeguarding knowledge and the judgement to put it into practice.
