Academics is a specialist education recruitment agency seeking a motivated and reliable Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 class in a warm, welcoming, and inclusive primary school in Cwmbran, where children feel confident and ready to learn. This is a full-time, temporary role and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and supporting their learning within Key Stage 2.
The Role Includes:
- Supporting Year 4 pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks
- Assisting the class teacher with small group work and interventions
- Helping pupils stay focused, engaged, and supported throughout the school day
- Providing general classroom support as needed
- Working Monday to Friday, starting in September 2026 or earlier
Minimum Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
- Good understanding of primary education and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
- Fluent written and spoken English
- A positive, patient, and supportive approach
- Ability to work well as part of a team and follow guidance
