A lovely Primary School in Barry are seeking an experienced and caring Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with autism in a Key Stage 2 class. The successful candidate will be able to build a strong and positive relationship with the pupil, parents, and school staff. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the pupil to develop their social, emotional, and academic skills, and provide additional support to help them access the curriculum. Responsibilities: * Provide 1:1 support to the pupil with autism in the classroom and during break times * Develop and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with the pupil, parents, and school staff * Implement the pupil’s IEP and contribute to regular reviews and updates * Work closely with the SENco to identify and address any areas of need or concern * Support the pupil’s transition between lessons and activities * Assist with preparing materials and resources for lessons * Maintain accurate records of the pupil’s progress and achievements You Will Need Child Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) UK Drivers licence (Desired) What we offer?
