We are seeking passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistants who are ready to support a private nursery in the heart of Penkridge. Following an exciting recent establishment of a new partnership with a local nursery, we are now looking for dedicated, caring Nursery Assistants to provide consistent, high-quality care for each child.
This is a flexible role for Early Years and Nursery Practitioners seeking temporary working arrangements with a reputable supply agency, working around your life and commitments. The role is open to both part-time and full-time hours.
The responsibilities of a Nursery Assistant include:
- Working alongside teachers and Nursery Assistants to deliver fun EYFS activities, interventions, and lessons that support the academic and personal growth of all children.
- Consistently providing exceptional standards of care to all children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Supporting children's early literacy, numeracy, communication, and personal development daily.
- Encouraging growth and independence by supporting children in daily tasks that promote positive behaviour.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent).
- A strong level of literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths Grade 4 or Grade C and above/Functional Skills Level 2).
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or primary school setting.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Paediatric First Aid (or be willing to work towards).
Pay: £14.24 - £15 an hour, holiday pay included in the day rate.
