A friendly mainstream primary school in Swindon is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop their confidence and reach their potential. A Learning Support Assistant will provide targeted support to pupils through a combination of 1:1 and small-group work, helping them access the curriculum and feel confident within the classroom environment. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs. Encourage children to participate in lessons and engage positively with classroom activities. Help pupils develop their academic, communication, social and emotional skills. Foster positive and trusting relationships with pupils, promoting confidence, independence and resilience. Support children in overcoming barriers to learning and developing their individual strengths. Work closely with class teachers and other members of staff to ensure pupils receive the appropriate support.This Learning Support Assistant position will become part of a supportive and inclusive primary school environment where every child is encouraged to succeed. You will play an important role in helping pupils make progress both academically and personally, while gaining valuable experience working with children with additional learning needs. A Learning Support Assistant is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience, build meaningful relationships with pupils and contribute to their overall development and success.
