Academics are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Stroud that is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to support their learning, confidence and development. Whether you have previous experience in a school or are looking to take your first steps into education, a patient, positive and enthusiastic approach is key.
Every day will bring something different, from supporting children with classroom activities to providing one-to-one or small-group assistance.

Setting: Mainstream Primary School
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £90-£105 per day, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Working Pattern: Term time only
DBS: An enhanced DBS is required, or you must be willing to apply for one
What Will You Be Doing?
Supporting pupils with their learning through one-to-one support and small-group activities.
Helping children develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and classroom activities.
Adapting your approach to meet pupils' individual learning needs.
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping maintain a calm, inclusive classroom.
Who Would Suit This Role?
We're looking for someone who is patient, approachable and genuinely enjoys helping children succeed. You'll need to be proactive, reliable and comfortable working as part of a team.
Previous experience working with children is beneficial, particularly in a school, nursery, tutoring or childcare setting, but a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are equally important.
