About the Role: This is a unique opportunity to kick-start your teaching career by gaining hands-on experience as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA)/Teaching Assistant (TA), or Cover Supervisor within a secondary school. This role is perfect for recent graduates in mathematics or related fields, or for anyone eager to inspire students while gaining a practical foundation in education.
Your Path to Becoming a Qualified Teacher: As an Aspiring Teacher, you’ll support and engage students in their mathematics studies while learning essential classroom management and teaching skills. After gaining experience in the LSA/TA or Cover Supervisor role, there is the exciting potential to progress onto a SCITT (School-Centered Initial Teacher Training) program, where you’ll work toward achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
