Are you a recent Psychology Graduate looking to kick-start your career in the Mental Health Sector? Are you looking for a role where you can support the mental health of vulnerable young and at-risk young people?

A well-respected specialist school near Guildford is looking for an Aspiring Child Psychologist to support children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The students range between 10 and 16 years old and face a range of SEMH needs and challenges including trauma, anxiety, OCD, and behavioural issues. The students therefore need an Intervention and Pastoral Assistant who will be dedicated to being a consistent role model, is committed to building strong relationships, is empathetic and up for a challenge! The school is located in the beautiful Surrey Hills of Guildford and has on-site parking.

As an Aspiring Child Psychologist, you must be open-minded, resilient, and knowledgeable about mental health. The perfect candidate will have experience with SEN children and/or adults in any setting. Graduates in Psychology, Criminology or Counselling would also be perfect for this position.

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Salary: £85-£105 per day, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-4pm, term time only
  • Training: Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
  • Requirements: You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship. Must be able to travel to Guildford / surrounding areas.
