We are currently recruiting for a Supply Learning Support Assistant to support pupils across a range of primary schools in Barry. As a Supply Learning Support Assistant, you will work with children in a variety of classroom settings, supporting their learning and development. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Supply Learning Support Assistant who is adaptable, enthusiastic, and confident working with pupils with a range of needs across the Vale of Glamorgan.
We partner with a number of welcoming and supportive schools throughout the Vale of Glamorgan who require both last-minute and pre-booked cover. As a Supply LSA in the Vale of Glamorgan, your work can vary from day-to-day assignments to longer placements, depending on your availability. This role is ideal if you are seeking flexibility. Many schools request the same Supply LSA staff regularly, giving you the chance to build relationships and enjoy consistent work across Barry and the rest of the Vale of Glamorgan.
Key Responsibilities- Support pupils in their learning on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assist the class teacher with daily classroom activities
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils with additional needs where required
- Experience working with children in any setting (school, childcare, youth work, etc.)
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- A flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
