Academics are currently supporting a primary school in Stoke-on-Trent that is looking for an experienced Year 5 Teacher for short-term cover. The role is covering a staff absence from Thursday 18th June 2026 - Friday 17 July 2026. Our partnership school is at the heart of their local community, ensuring that when learners complete their education journey with them that they then become respected members of society. The school's wide-ranging curriculum nurtures the desire to achieve the very best regardless of the learner's prior knowledge, which very often brings learning alive!
To be considered for this particular teaching role you MUST:
- Have UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) and excellent knowledge of the upper KS2 curriculum.
- Be able to hold full class responsibilities and to be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- Have strong behaviour management skills.
- Promote happiness, self-reliance and to be able to encourage and motivate positive interactions.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or you will be prepared to apply for a new DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
