Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Year 2 or Year 3 Teacher? Looking for a temporary part-time opportunity in a new school? Academics are currently supporting a primary school (located in Newcastle-under-Lyme) that is looking for either an experienced Year 2 or Year 3 Teacher to cover 2 days a week (Thursdays & Fridays). The role is covering a staff absence from Thursday 3rd September 2026 to Thursday 25th March 2027 (autumn & spring terms).

To be considered for this particular teaching role you MUST:
- Have UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) and excellent knowledge of either the upper KS1 curriculum or lower KS2 curriculum.
- Be able to hold full class responsibilities (2 days a week) and to be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- Have strong behaviour management skills.
- Promote happiness, self-reliance and to be able to encourage and motivate positive interactions.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or you will be prepared to apply for a new DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
