Academics are currently seeking dedicated and passionate Nursery Assistants to join our team to work across Newcastle-under-Lyme. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
- Assisting in the daily care and supervision of children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the nursery's policies and procedures.
- Engaging children in age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors, to promote their physical, cognitive, and social development.
- Supporting the nursery staff in implementing planned educational programs, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitoring and observing children, noting their progress, and reporting any concerns to the senior staff.
- Adhering to safeguarding procedures and maintaining a vigilant attitude towards child protection.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Early Childhood Education qualification or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
- Knowledge of child development theories and age-appropriate activities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
